Every morning at 325 W Main St, Koffee House starts before dawn — hand-kneading sourdough, pulling espresso shots, and stocking shelves with goods you won't find anywhere else in the Sangre de Cristo foothills.
Built on a simple promise: if it doesn't pass our taste test, it doesn't leave the kitchen.
Koffee House began as a corner counter with a single espresso machine and a conviction that small-town New Mexico deserved bakery-quality bread and coffee that actually tastes like coffee. Twenty years later, we're still waking up at 4 AM to proof dough by hand, roast our own beans in small batches, and source from growers within 100 miles whenever possible.
We're not a chain. We don't outsource. Every croissant, every loaf, every pour-over is made right here on W Main St — and if something isn't worth serving to our neighbors, it goes to compost, not the display case.

Located on the main drag of Red River, just off the Sangre de Cristo sceneroute. Street parking is available out front. We're a dog-friendly patio spot in summer and a warm refuge any other season.

We stopped in on a winter road trip and stayed for two hours. The pastries, the warmth, the fact that everything is made right in front of you — it's exactly what a mountain town bakery should be.
